Captiva becomes a joint venture partner with the project developer August Prien for the construction of the new Johann Kontor near the central train station. Upon completion, 50% of the project shares will be owned by the investment and asset manager Captiva and the project developer August Prien. The current mezzanine capital provider, HanseMerkur, will take over the property for long-term management.
The Johann Kontor is being built on Klosterwall, near the central train station, where the demolition of a listed high-rise ensemble is currently underway.
CP Hamburg is responsible for project controlling and is also preparing Technical Due Diligence reports.
The new Johann Kontor will feature a hotel with 227 rooms and 145 rental apartments, as well as a daycare center, retail spaces, and cultural facilities. Additionally, the complex will include gastronomy and office spaces.
